Job summary

Gi Group are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to work for one of the UK's biggest Parcel delivery companies. Newly qualified drivers are accepted and welcomed; you will drive safely, load, transport and deliver parcels to depots, hubs and customers.

Starting shifts include 2300 starts at £21.09 per hour, PAYE with advanced holiday pay. You may be required to drive a Class 2 to gain experience. Gi Group Ireland Limited are acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Category CE licence (Class 1)
• Driver CPC
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Able to use mobile IT equipment and complete daily paperwork
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, colleagues and customers
• Understanding of safe and legal HGV driving and tachograph rules
• Awareness of health, safety and environmental requirements
• Experience of outdoor work including moving bins and handling recycling materials

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate vehicles in line with safety procedures and legal requirements
• Load/unload waste materials and tip at designated facilities
• Undertake training and driver induction as required
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform daily checks
• Interact professionally with colleagues and customers
• Follow reporting procedures and company policies
