Job summary

GRS Group in Blackwater is seeking a self-motivated driver to join our energetic team. You will operate LGV/HGV vehicles, deliver goods to customers efficiently and safely, and help maintain assets and records.

A CAN-DO attitude and reliability are essential to keep our fast-paced operation moving. We offer 45-hour weeks with overtime, 23 days of paid holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension, regular health assessments, and full training on all equipment.

Qualifications

• A CAN-DO attitude is essential.
• HGV Class 1 License and CPC card required.
• Tachograph card and valid qualifications to operate commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Check the safety and condition of the vehicle at the start of each day and record its condition using the system provided.
• Care for the company's assets and ensure they are used according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Ensure the vehicle is securely loaded and within legal weight limits.
• Drive efficiently and in compliance with traffic laws.
• Prioritise health and safety of self, public and road users.
• Represent the company professionally on the road and at customers’ premises.
• Assist in yard and other duties when not driving.
• Complete reports and documentation promptly and accurately.
• Contribute to the wellbeing and profitability of the business.
