Job summary

Rapier Employment are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a well-established client based in Castle Donington. This role offers long-term, ongoing work with flexible shift patterns, including days and nights, with weekend work required.

You will deliver to RDCs and retail stores across the region, perform daily vehicle checks, and ensure all loads are handled safely and in compliance with drivers’ hours and transport rules. Overtime applies after 43.75 hours.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Minimum of 3 months' commercial driving experience (required for insurance purposes).
• Positive, reliable and professional attitude expected.

Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries to RDCs and retail stores.
• Unload store deliveries using cages and tail lifts.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
• Maintain compliance with drivers' hours and transport legislation.
