Job summary

TRCGroup is seeking HGV Class 1 drivers (C+E) for Coventry, with both full-time and part-time options. NEWLY QUALIFIED DRIVERS WELCOME and training and assessments are available ASAP, with ongoing long-term work at a major logistics provider.

Roles involve trunking between depots, handling high-value goods, and strict adherence to safety and WTD regulations. Flexible start times from 13:00–15:00 or 20:00–01:00, with guaranteed shifts and on-site support.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license with Class 1 (C+E) entitlement.
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum of 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Successful completion of assessment (theory & practical).
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Ability to start within the listed windows (flexible).

Responsibilities

• Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels containing high-value goods.
• Collecting high-value goods from well-known customers, including full trailer collections and drop/swaps.
• Occasional handling of push roller cages as required.
• Precise reversing and manoeuvring in yards, including shunting duties.
• Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Adhering to traffic laws, regulations, and company safety standards.
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
