Job summary

Fowler Welch in Poole is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our refrigerated transport team. You will operate refrigerated articulated vehicles, delivering and collecting chilled stock from Local and Regional Distribution Centres across the UK.

Experience is welcome but not essential—we invest in drivers who have the right attitude, are willing to learn, and commit to the required training.

Qualifications

• Possession of LGV Class 1 Licence.
• Current CPC.
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and drivers' hours.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise workload to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork.
• Adhere to health, safety and hygiene rules and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of transport department operations.
• Manage own working time in line with regulations.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and temperature monitoring.
• Obtain PODs and return to Transport Office.
