Job summary

Alliance Healthcare Management Services Limited is hiring for an HGV Class 1 Driver based in Preston. You will undertake daily deliveries across our wholesale distribution network, working about 45 hours per week with varied shifts including mornings, evenings and every 2nd Saturday.

The role requires a full valid driving licence, a proactive approach to road safety, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and branch staff.

Qualifications

• A full driving licence relevant to the vehicle.
• Over 21 years of age for insurance purposes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer care and relationship building.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe driving and obey traffic laws and road signs.
• Daily vehicle checks and reporting faults or delays.
• Load orders accurately and secure vehicle contents.
• Keep vehicle clean and fuel levels adequate.
• Support warehouse tasks as directed by management.
• Maintain customer relations through professional service.
• Meet Health & Safety requirements and company policies.
