Job summary

Pure Staff Ltd is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for ongoing, temporary shifts in Newport and Barry. Drivers will undertake trunking runs with curtain-side and double-Decker trailers, joining a leading palletised freight network.

Shifts run 5:00am starts for days and 7:30pm starts for nights, with typical shifts around 10 hours. Visa: valid C+E licence, tachograph, and CPC required; 6+ months experience preferred and points limit of 6.

Qualifications

• UK Category C+E Licence
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Valid Driver CPC Card
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (12 months preferred)
• No more than 6 penalty points
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude
• Good understanding of driver hours, tachograph regulations and vehicle safety checks

Responsibilities

• Perform trunking runs using curtain-side and double-Decker trailers transporting palletised freight between depots and distribution hubs
• Operate shifts Monday to Sunday with day starts around 05:00 and night starts around 19:30, averaging ~10 hours per shift
• Maintain compliance with driver hours and tachograph regulations and ensure vehicle safety checks are performed
