Sterling Personnel LTD is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our Leicester logistics team. You will operate large vehicles, handle flatbed and general freight, and uphold high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience driving flatbed loads and delivery operations.
• Strong knowledge of current road safety regulations and transport legislation.
• Ability to load/unload cargo and secure loads on flatbeds.
• Excellent navigation and route planning skills.
• Strong communication with a customer-focused approach.

Responsabilités

• Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed trucks, following laws and policies.
• Load, secure, and unload cargo with precision.
• Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery schedules and reduce transit times.
• Complete delivery logs, vehicle checklists and compliance paperwork.
• Coordinate with dispatch teams and customers to schedule deliveries and address issues.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive interaction with clients and team members.
