Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to support trunking operations to/from East Midlands Airport. The role involves organized, planned routes with morning, evening and weekend shifts, and the opportunity to join a trusted national brand for 2026.

Responsibilities include depot-to-depot trunking, vehicle safety checks, adherence to schedules, and professional representation of Royal Mail on every run. Valid HGV Class 1/C+E licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph card are required.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence held for 1+ years.
• A valid CPC + Digital Tachograph card.
• 180+ days of Class 1 driving experience in the last 2 years.
• Max 6 points on your licence.
• Able to pass vetting & DBS checks.

The Job

• Trunking between Royal Mail depots


• No handballing - just organised, planned routes


• Morning, evening and weekend shifts available

Key Responsibilities

• Transport mail between national sites


• Complete vehicle checks and uphold top-tier safety


• Follow scheduled routes with precision


• Represent Royal Mail with professionalism on every run

What You Need

• Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence (held for 1+ years)


• A valid and in date CPC + Digital Tachograph card


• 180+ days of Class 1 driving experience in the last 2 years


• Max 6 points on your licence


• Able to pass vetting & DBS checks
