Job summary

Pertemps Royal Mail is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 driver for fixed-term ongoing work at East Midlands Airport. The role involves trunking mail between Royal Mail depots nationwide on organised routes with morning, evening and weekend shifts.

You will perform vehicle checks, maintain safety standards and act as a professional representative for Royal Mail. A Class 1 licence, CPC and tachograph card are required, with up to 6 points allowed and vetting/DBS checks passed.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence (held for 1+ years)
• A valid and in date CPC + Digital Tachograph card
• 180+ days of Class 1 driving experience in the last 2 years
• Max 6 points on your licence
• Able to pass vetting & DBS checks

Class 1 Driver - East Midlands Airport (Derbyshire) with Pertemps Royal Mail offers full-time, flexible hours at £21.44-£24.57 per hour on a temporary, ongoing contract. This HGV C+E role involves trunking mail between Royal Mail depots nationwide, with no handballing—only planned, organised routes. Morning, evening, and weekend shifts are available. Drivers complete vehicle checks, maintain strict safety standards, follow precise schedules, and act as professional representatives for Royal Mail. Suitable candidates hold a valid Class 1 licence and prioritise clean, safety-conscious driving. This position provides consistent work through 2026 with a trusted national employer, supporting essential logistics across the UK.
