Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking skilled HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for trunking operations between national depots in West Thurrock. This full-time, temporary/ongoing role offers £21.44 to £24.57 per hour, with shifts across mornings, evenings and weekends.

You will perform pre-trip checks, adhere to safety standards, and represent Royal Mail professionally on every journey, with pre-planned routes and depot-to-depot trunking.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence (held for 1+ years).
• A valid and in date CPC + Digital Tachograph card.
• 180+ days of Class 1 driving experience in the last 2 years.
• Max 6 points on your licence.
• Able to pass vetting & DBS checks.

As a Class 1 Driver in West Thurrock, you will undertake trunking operations between Royal Mail depots, moving mail across the national network. This full‑time, flexible role offers £21.44 to £24.57 per hour on a temporary, ongoing basis. You will follow pre‑planned routes without handballing, focusing solely on safe, professional driving.

Responsibilities include completing thorough vehicle inspections and upholding rigorous safety standards. Morning, evening, and weekend shifts are available to suit various schedules.
