Job summary

Lineage Logistics is seeking a motivated HGV Class 1 Driver for our Peterborough depot. You will perform trunking and multi-drop deliveries, maintain vehicle roadworthiness, and ensure loads are secure to meet regulatory standards.

The role requires a C+E licence, DigiTacho, and CPC, with prior Class 1 driving experience. Shift: Monday–Friday days, pay £16.54 per hour, weekly pay, and overtime after 39 hours at time and a half.

Qualifications

• C+E driving licence and CPC valid.
• DigiTacho card valid and up to date.
• Experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely, legal manner.
• Ensure vehicle is legal and roadworthy; report defects.
• Check loads are correct and secure before departure.
• Obtain signatures and paperwork on return to depot.

We are currently seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver at our Peterborough depot. Shift Available: Monday - Friday working on Days. Rate of pay: £16.54 per hour. Paid weekly. Any hours worked over 39 hours each week will be paid at time and a half.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times - all daily checks are completed, and any vehicle defects are reported.
• Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle.
• Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law (including drivers working time regulations).
• Double check deliveries with the customer whilst providing a polite and helpful experience.
• Obtain relevant signatures and paperwork before returning to your home depot.

What are we looking for?

• Someone with a C+E driving licence, a valid in date DigiTacho and CPC.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Someone who can lift up to 18kg.
• You to be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English.
