Job summary

Lineage is a global temperature-controlled logistics provider seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver for our Peterborough depot. The role offers Monday to Friday days with pay of £16.54 per hour and weekly pay.

Overtime over 39 hours is paid at time and a half, with on-site parking and employee assistance services. You will perform daily vehicle checks, secure loads, complete trunking and deliveries, and ensure compliance with drivers’ working time regulations while delivering a friendly customer

Qualifications

• Must have Class 1 driving experience
• C+E driving licence and CPC valid
• DigiTacho card and successful compliance check

Responsibilities

• Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law (including drivers working time regulations)
• Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times - complete daily checks and report defects
• Double check deliveries with the customer and obtain required signatures and paperwork
• Deliver to customers professionally and in line with company standards

We are currently seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver at our Peterborough depot.

Shift Available: Monday - Friday working on Days

Rate of pay: £16.54 per hour. Paid weekly.

Any hours worked over 39 hours each week will be paid at time and a half.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times - all daily checks are completed, and any vehicle defects are reported
• Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle
• Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law (including drivers working time regulations)
• Double check deliveries with the customer whilst providing a polite and helpful experience. Obtain relevant signatures and paperwork before returning to your home depot

What are we looking for?

• Someone with a C+E driving licence, a valid in date DigiTacho and CPC
• Previous Class 1 driving experience
• Someone who can lift up to 18kg
• You to be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English
