Job summary
PIVT Group Ltd in Northampton is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to provide a safe, reliable and customer-focused transport service from our Northampton operation. You will hold a Full HGV Class 1 licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph, with a strong knowledge of UK transport legislation.
Expect Monday to Friday 12-hour shifts, varying start times, and a busy, hands-on role requiring accurate paperwork and digital record-keeping.
Qualifications
- Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence required.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation.
- App-literate with multiple digital systems.
- Flexible start times and workload; customer focus.
- Reliable, punctual and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and professionally.
- Complete deliveries and collections as required by SLAs.
- Maintain strong customer-focused approach at client sites.
- Adapt to varying start times and delivery schedules.
- Accurately complete paperwork and digital records.
- Comply with health and safety policies and site rules.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
- Liaise with transport planners and site teams.
