Job summary

Explore is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver based in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. The role offers typical earnings of £54,000 per annum with paid breaks and CPC training. You will operate a state-of-the-art Scania truck, holding a C+E licence, valid CPC and a tacho card, for Monday-to-Friday tramping.

The position includes a 50–55 hour week with occasional weekend shifts and driver allowances where applicable. Ongoing CPC training and internal progression are available within a safety-focused

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid tacho card.
• Ability to read and interpret maps and use GPS navigation systems effectively.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to understand movement orders.

Responsibilities

• Safe Vehicle Operation: Operate the vehicle in line with traffic laws and road-safety standards.
• Load Security: Load and unload securely and efficiently, applying appropriate securing techniques.
• Route Navigation: Read and interpret maps and use GPS navigation systems effectively to support timely deliveries.
• Delivery Planning: Organise journeys and time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
• Communication: Understand movement orders and liaise clearly with colleagues and customers.
