Job summary

Explore is a safety-focused specialist transport operation recruiting a HGV Class 1 Driver based in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. The role offers a strong pay package with a typical £54,000 annual earnings, paid breaks, and ongoing CPC training.

You will drive Monday–Friday on a tramping pattern, with 50–55 hour weeks, occasional weekend shifts, and driver allowances where applicable. A permanent position after probation awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid tacho card.
• Ability to read and interpret maps and use GPS navigation systems.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to understand movement orders.

Responsibilities

• Safe Vehicle Operation in line with traffic laws and road safety standards.
• Load Security: secure and efficient loading/unloading with proper securing techniques.
• Route Navigation: read maps and use GPS to meet deadlines.
• Delivery Planning: organise journeys and time to meet delivery deadlines.
• Communication: liaise clearly with colleagues and customers.
