Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver for a Grays, Thurrock assignment. You will perform multi‑drop deliveries (3–4 per day) with tail lift loads, including ambient, chill, and frozen cages. Daily vehicle checks and compliance with driving regulations are required.

The role offers immediate starts, regular ongoing work, a competitive hourly rate, and weekly pay. A professional, safety‑mocused driver with strong customer service is ideal.

Qualifications

• UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
• 6 months commercial Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC (DCPC) and Digital Tachograph Card

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries (3-4 drops per day)
• Tail Lift work delivering 320kg cages on ambient, chill and frozen
• Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, on time and in compliance with regulations
• Complete all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately
