Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 drivers for Thurrock. Immediate starts with days/nights and regular, ongoing, flexible shifts. Pay rates include basic daytime rates and overtime scales, with weekly pay and holiday accrual.

Roles involve store deliveries, 2-4 drops per shift, 10-hour shifts, 07:00–17:00 start window, and loading/unloading with a tail lift. CPC and Tachograph cards required, 6 months experience, and full compliance with driving hours rules.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence for a minimum of 6 months.
• A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on your licence and 6 months of experience.
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and Working Time rules.

Responsibilities

• Store deliveries.
• Approximately 2-4 drops per shift/10 hour shifts.
• Start times between 0700 and 1700.
• Loading and unloading cages using tail lift.
• Ongoing work.
• Minimum 9.6 hours paid per shift.
