GRS Group is seeking a self-motivated LGV/HGV driver to join our team in Blackwater. You will deliver goods to customers nationwide, maintaining high safety and service standards while upholding company values.

The role requires a CAN-DO attitude, adherence to health and safety, and full training on equipment. This is a full-time position with regular day hours and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 License required.
• Driver CPC Card required.
• Tachograph Card required.

Responsibilities

• Check the safety and condition of the vehicle at the start of each day and record its condition.
• Care for the company assets and use according to manufacturer guidance.
• Ensure the vehicle is securely loaded within legal weight limits.
• Drive efficiently and productively within road traffic laws.

JOB PURPOSE

To drive LGV/HGV vehicles and deliver goods and services as required. To drive company delivery vehicles and deliver its goods to customers efficiently and considerately whilst ensuring the health and safety of self, the public and other road users. To ensure the good maintenance and operation of the company's assets and to provide excellent service to customers.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES,

• To check the safety and condition of the vehicle at the start of each day and to record its condition using the system provided and to promptly report any faults as they occur.
• To care for the company's assets whilst in his/her charge and ensure they are used according to manufacturer's recommendations ensuring effective long-term performance.
• To ensure the vehicle is securely loaded and restrained and that the vehicle weights are within the legally permitted limits.
• To drive as efficiently and productively as possible but to do so within the prevailing road traffic law.
• To give due consideration to the health and safety of self, the public and other road users at all times.
• To represent the company both on the road and at the customers' premises in a professional and considerate manner at all times and to report promptly any matters likely to affect the company's business prospects.
• To assist in yard and other duties as may be required when not driving or taking legally required breaks.
• To complete reports and documentations to time and as accurately as possible to assist in the management of the business.
• To contribute to the wellbeing and profitability of the business as far as it depends upon him/her.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ROLE,

• Training on site on the day.
• HGV Class 1 License.
• Drivers CPC Card.
• Valid Tachograph Card.
