Job summary

GI Group is actively recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for Reading (RG2). The role is for afternoon shifts on an ad-hoc basis with approx. 12-hour days.

Typical pay includes £20.34 per hour Mon-Fri, £23.52 Sat, £26.25 Sun, with overtime rates after 8 hours. Candidates must have at least 12 months experience, a valid Tachograph & CPC, and up to 6 penalty points. The main duties include vehicle checks, trunking to depots and hubs, and prioritising workloads to meet time commitments.

• Presentable appearance and a positive attitude are essential.
• Eye for detail and a proactive approach are required.
• 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver is expected.
