Logistics People are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers/HGV Drivers/LGV Class 1 Drivers/LGV Drivers/Class 1 Drivers working on an Ad Hoc – Temporary basis at our Eddie Stobart Wakefield depot.

Our customer is one of the biggest names within the HGV industry, with the latest vehicles on the market, offering you the best HGV experience with top-range vehicles.

Working Hours:

• Ad Hoc – Temporary Shifts Available

About this role:

• Ambient work – Driving ambient products that do not require temperature checks.
• Trunking – Driving on a regular route, including long-haul transportation of goods between distribution hubs.
• Store Delivery – Transporting various types of goods from locations to stores.
• General haulage – Transporting various types of goods from location to location.
• Manual handling – Physically lifting, carrying, and moving goods during loading and unloading operations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of PPE and adherence to health and safety regulations.

About You:

• You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence and have a minimum of 6 months of HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR Code convictions.
• Hold current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to understand and carry out vehicle checks to ensure safety and report defects correctly.
• Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
