Logistics People are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers/HGV Drivers/LGV Class 1 Drivers/LGV Drivers/Class 1 Drivers working on a Full time Equivalent (FTE) basis at our Great Bear Wigan depot.

Our customer is one of the biggest names within the HGV industry, with the latest vehicles on the market, offering the best HGV experience and a top range vehicle to work with.

***12 Months Of HGV Class 1 Driving Experience Required***

Working Hours:

• Up to 5 Shifts Available – Various AM & PM Start Times

Pay Rate:

About this role:

• Ambient work – Driving ambient products that do not require temperature checks.
• Trunking – Driving on a regular route, including long haul transportation of goods between distribution hubs.
• Store Delivery – Transporting various types of goods from location to stores.
• General haulage – Transporting various types of goods between locations.
• Manual handling – Physically lifting, carrying, and moving goods during loading and unloading.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and paperwork in compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• Follow all safety protocols, including PPE use and health and safety regulations.

About You:

• Hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence with at least 12 months of HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR Code convictions.
• Current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understand and comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to perform vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
