Logistics People are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers/HGV Drivers/LGV Class 1 Drivers/LGV Drivers/Class 1 Drivers working on an Ad Hoc – Temporary basis at our Eddie Stobart Leicester depot.

Our customer is one of the biggest names within the HGV industry, with the latest vehicles on the market, providing the best HGV experience and top-range vehicles to work with.

Working Hours:

• Ad Hoc – Temporary Shifts Available

About this role:

• Ambient work – Driving ambient products that do not require temperature checks.
• Trunking – Regular route driving, including long haul transportation between distribution hubs.
• Store Delivery – Transporting goods from locations to stores.
• General haulage – Transporting various types of goods between locations.
• Manual handling – Physically lifting, carrying, and moving goods during loading and unloading.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including PPE use and health and safety regulations.

About You:

• Hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence with at least 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points; no DD/DR Code convictions.
• Current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understand and comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to carry out vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
