Job Opportunity: Class 1 Driver

People Solutions is recruiting Class 1 Drivers to cover ad hoc shifts for various clients within the Wakefield and Normanton areas.

Shift Details

Days: 03:00 - 09:00 starts

Nights: 15:00 - 19:00 starts

Who is this role for?

This role is ideal for individuals who are available for a few shifts per week or prefer part-time work, with the potential to support on a full-time basis later.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Prepare for various shift lengths
• Comply with driving rules and laws
• Maintain a well-presented cab at all times
• Be prepared to use a tail lift
• Complete store deliveries and trunk runs
• Secure loads correctly
• Ensure vehicle cleanliness and safety

Requirements

• Hold a valid UK C+E licence
• At least 2 years of experience driving C+E vehicles
• No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsements
• In-date UK CPC and Digi cards
• Experience operating various trailer types
• Data available on your tachograph from the last 60 days
• Prepared for handball tasks
• Good time management skills
• Previous experience as an ad hoc driver in general haulage is desirable but not essential.

Training Provided

• Written and driving assessments may be required for this role.
