Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join the Logistics Delivery team in Farnham. You will operate HGV 1 and HGV 2 vehicles, load and discharge water, and take samples as part of essential deliveries to customers.

You will work a 38.5 hour week on a 4-on, 4-off cycle (days and nights) with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. A full Driver CPC and Tachograph card, plus knowledge of transport regulations, are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Class 1 HGV Driver.
• Full Driver CPC and Tachograph card are required.
• Clear knowledge of Transport Law and the Road Traffic Act.
• Working knowledge of Drivers' Hours rules and Working Time regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV 1 and HGV 2 vehicles, including manual and automatic gearboxes.
• Carry out potable water deliveries as part of the Logistics Delivery team.
• Take water samples before loading and discharging them into hydrants or reservoirs.
• Follow defined processes and procedures during shifts.
• Based at Farnham STW, with full training and benefits.
