Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver based in Oxford to join our Logistics Delivery team. You will be the face of Thames Water on the road, providing first-class customer service while delivering potable water and supporting reactive and planned work.

You will follow processes and drive HGV 1 and HGV 2 vehicles, with both manual and automatic gearboxes, and will learn to take water samples before loading and discharging into hydrants or reservoirs. Full training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Class 1 HGV Driver.
• Happy working on a rotational shift pattern, including days and nights.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DR or IN convictions on licence.
• A full driver CPC and a valid Driver Tachograph card.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Transport Law and the Road Traffic Act.
• Working knowledge of Drivers' Hours rules and Working Time regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver potable water as part of the Thames Water Logistics Delivery team.
• Take water samples before loading and discharging into hydrants or reservoirs.
• Drive HGV 1 and HGV 2 vehicles (manual and automatic gearboxes) and support vehicles.
