Job summary

Great Bear (Part of the Culina Group) is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to join our Desborough team, supporting deliveries for key customers nationwide.

This permanent, full-time role features a 24/7 operation with hourly pay starting at £16.19, plus shift supplements and overtime at enhanced rates.

You will carry out safe palletised deliveries, complete appropriate paperwork, and comply with tachograph and driver's hours rules while upholding customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence and CPC valid.
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 experience.
• No more than 6 points on licence; no DD/DR convictions.
• DCPC and Tachograph cards held.
• Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Directive.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide.
• Support occasional driver tipping or multi-drop deliveries as needed.
• Occasional Night out may be required.
• Report delays or issues to Transport team at shift start and with PODs.
