Job summary

Kinaxia Newcastle is recruiting dedicated HGV Class 1 drivers to join our General Haulage team at Washington Depot. The role involves daily vehicle checks, delivering and collecting goods, and maintaining safety and compliance on the road.

You will work 4 on / 4 off on night shifts, with full LGV C+E licence, Driver CPC and tachograph card required. We offer a supportive environment, uniform, PPE, onsite parking and a company pension.

Qualifications

• Full LGV C+E (Class 1) licence (2+ years' experience preferred, but not essential).
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
• Digital Tachograph Card.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
• Deliver and collect goods as scheduled, following manifests.
• Communicate effectively with the traffic office and report any issues promptly.
• Adhere to all company, customer, and Highway Code requirements.
• Maintain high health and safety standards at all times.
• Ensure compliance with EU tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Keep your vehicle clean and tidy.
• Carry out pallet truck and tail lift deliveries where required.
