Job summary

Lineage, a leading temperature-controlled logistics provider, is seeking a Class 1 driver for Portbury. The role offers a basic rate of £15.61 per hour plus a £40 weekly shift allowance, paid weekly. The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off with early start times (04:00–06:00) and no overnight tramping.

Overtime after 39 hours is paid at time and a half. You will be responsible for vehicle checks, loading checks, trunking and multi-drop deliveries, and ensuring secure handovers with customers, while

Qualifications

• C+E driving licence, DigiTacho and CPC are required.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience is essential.
• Ability to lift up to 18kg is required.
• Clear English communication with team members is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicle is legal and roadworthy with daily checks and report defects.
• Verify correct goods loaded and secured before moving the vehicle.
• Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries timely and in compliance with drivers' regulations.
• Confirm deliveries with customers and obtain signatures and paperwork before leaving.

Working hours: 4 on 4 off Days start times between 04:00-06:00 - No tramping.

All hours worked over 39 hours each week are paid at time and a half.

Basic hourly rate: £15.61 per hour, plus £40.00 per week shift allowance, paid weekly.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times - all daily checks are completed, and any vehicle defects are reported.
• Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle.
• Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law (including drivers working time regulations).
• Double check deliveries with the customer whilst providing a polite and helpful experience. Obtain relevant signatures and paperwork before returning to your home depot.

What are we looking for?

• Someone with a C+E driving licence, a valid in date DigiTacho and CPC.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Someone who can lift up to 18kg.
• You to be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English.
