Job summary

Lineage Logistics is seeking a professional driver for Portbury with a C+E licence, valid DigiTacho and CPC. The role involves trunking and multi-drop deliveries, ensuring loads are secure and compliant with drivers’ hours regulations.

You will check vehicle roadworthiness, complete daily checks, and obtain customer signatures at handover. You must be able to lift up to 18kg and communicate clearly in English with the team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid C+E driving licence.
• Valid DigiTacho and CPC required.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 18kg.
• Clear communication in English with team members.

Responsibilities

• Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner in compliance with the law.
• Ensure vehicle is legal and roadworthy; complete daily checks and report defects.
• Load correct goods, secure them for transit and obtain customer signatures before returning to depot.

Location: PortburyWorking hours: 4 on 4 off Days start times between 04:00-06:00 - No tramping.All hours worked over 39 hours each week are paid at time and a half.Basic hourly rate: £15.61 per hour, plus £40.00 per week shift allowance, paid weekly.At Lineage, helping to feed the world is more than a job - it's a purpose we live every day. Lineage is the world's largest and most innovative provider of temperature-controlled logistics solutions.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times - all daily checks are completed, and any vehicle defects are reported.Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle.Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law (including drivers working time regulations).Double check deliveries with the customer whilst providing a polite and helpful experience.
