Job summary

Day Group is seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join our team in delivering materials safely and efficiently. You will work 10 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour unpaid break, and complete deliveries while maintaining high safety and customer service standards.

You will inspect vehicles, keep accurate records, and ensure compliance with tachograph and transport legislation. Applicants should have strong independence and teamwork, with a commitment to long‑term development within

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 HGV licence and clean driving record.
• Up-to-date knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph rules.
• Experience inspecting vehicles and completing delivery records.
• Strong safety focus and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials safely, on time and with excellent service.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and defect reporting.
• Maintain roadworthiness and ensure high vehicle standards.
• Follow drivers' hours, tachograph rules and transport laws.
• Complete delivery paperwork using company systems.
• Represent Day Group professionally at customers and sites.
• Adhere to health, safety, environmental and transport policies.
