Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 drivers for Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan. Roles include day shifts and nights with 10–12 hour routes and 1–3 drops per shift. Starting times typically 04:00–06:00 or 16:00–18:00, with 8+ hours paid per shift.

Qualifications

• A valid UK HGV Class 1 licence.
• A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Minimum 2 years held on licence.
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and Working Time rules.
• A reliable and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Days Store Deliveries / Nights Trunking.
• Approximately 1 - 3 drops per shift 10 – 12 Hours.
• Start times between 04:00 to 06:00 / 16:00 to 18:00.
• Manual handling required on days / no handball on nights.
• Temporary / Temp-to-perm work.
• Minimum 8 hours paid per shift.

• Saturday - £23.76
• Sunday - £25.05
• Bank Holiday - £35.41

Nights

• Monday to Friday - £23.53
• Saturday - £24.88
• Sunday - £26.17
• Bank Holiday - £35.41

Overtime after 45 hours - £39.02 per hour
