Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting for a well known client in Tonbridge for multiple HGV Class 1 Driver roles. Shifts typically run Monday to Friday with a 9am start and 10–12 hour shifts.

Pay is £15.36 per hour PAYE. Duties include multi-drop deliveries, loading/unloading with tail lift and pump truck, and maintaining paperwork accuracy while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Securely move and transport premium goods to sub-depots or collect from delivery units.
• Perform multi-drop deliveries with 15–20 drops/collections per shift.
• Load/unload using tail lift and pump truck where required.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and focus on safe driving throughout shifts.
• Interact professionally with customers and represent the company well.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Tonbridge area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers to join the team.

Shifts:

Typically Monday to Friday

Hours:

9am start typically, average of 10-12 hour shifts

Pay Rate:

£15.36 per hour PAYE

The role:

• Securely moving and transporting premium and high value goods (parcels) to sub-depots or collecting them from delivery units.
• Multi-drop delivery - average of 15- 20 drops/collections.
• Drivers will be required to load and unload the roll cages using tail lift and pump truck.
• Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork throughout shift.
• Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• 6 months minimum experience required.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
