Job summary

Workchain in Scunthorpe is seeking a HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver for a rolling 5 on / 2 off shift. 12-hour shifts start around 05:00 with a temporary-to-perm path after the initial period. The role involves curtain-side deliveries, dock work, loading/unloading and regular vehicle checks.

Applicants should have a valid Class 1 licence, at least 6 months' experience, and good communication skills. Night-out allowances apply, and a permanent package (£46,000 per annum) is offered if the temp period is

Pay & Benefits

• Temporary Rate: Monday–Friday: £225.00 per day
• Saturday & Sunday: £245.00 per day

The Role

• Driving a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle
• Curtain-side deliveries and collections

• Securing loads where required
• Completing deliveries and collections safely and professionally
• Carrying out vehicle checks
• Completing relevant paperwork and delivery documentation
• Working to site, customer and road safety procedures
