Culina is hiring for a driver role in our Contract Logistics division in Salford. Start times are 13:00–17:00 with shifts Thursday to Monday. Base pay is £17.04 per hour, plus weekend uplift of £1.50 and night shift uplift of £1.50; overtime is paid at 1.3x after 50 hours per week.

You will deliver to customer sites, complete regional haulage, and may occasionally do night outs. You must hold a valid C+E license and UK Driver CPC, with good knowledge of hours rules and safe driving practices.

Competenze

• Valid C+E license and UK Driver CPC.
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR convictions.
• Digital Tachograph cards held.
• Good knowledge of Driver's Hours and Working Time Directive.

Mansioni

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, many as backdoor tip.
• Occasional night out may be required.
• Report delays or load discrepancies to Transport team at shift start.
• Complete paperwork and return PODs to Transport Office.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Adhere to tachograph rules and Road Transport Directive.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Take responsibility for unit and trailer, incl. temperature checks.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, appearance and customer service.

Job Description

Start Times: 13:00 - 17:00

Available Shift Patterns: Thursday - Monday

Salary: £17.04 per hour, plus a £1.50 per hour uplift for weekend shifts and £1.50 per hour for hours between 6pm & 4am. Overtime is paid at 1.3x the hourly ratefor all hours over 50 hours per week.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, with most deliveries completed as backdoor tip.
• Occasional Night out may be required
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and communicate any delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies promptly.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company rules and procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and adhere to tachograph rules and regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks in line with company procedure and report defects correctly.
• Taking responsibility for the unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintaining a high standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E License.
• Minimum 12months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred;
• No more than 6 points on your license and no DD or DR code convictions.
• Current valid UK Driver CPC qualification card and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Good understanding of Driver’s Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
