Job summary

GXO Logistics Ltd in Peterborough is recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our transport team supporting M&S. This full-time, permanent role runs Tuesday to Saturday with start times between 02:00 and 06:00 and a 45-hour week.

You will earn £17.43 per hour (£45,786.20 annually) plus a 15% night shift premium, overtime after 45 hours, 28 days holiday, and a company pension. No nights out; deliveries across England and Wales; join GXO University.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a mix of single and multidrop deliveries (typically up to 2 drops per shift) across England and Wales, collecting returns and equipment from stores as required, with no nights out
• Handle totes, rails and occasional pallets, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by being polite and courteous at all times
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time

As a Class 1 Driver, you’ll get:

An hourly rate of £17.43, that is an annual salary of £45,786.20

A 15% shift premium, for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00

Overtime paid at time and a half (applicable after 45 hours)

28 days annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
