Job summary

Romac Logistics are recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Newton Aycliffe team. This full-time, permanent role offers shift patterns including 4 on 4 off or 5 on 3 off with various start times, and a salary of £175–£195 per day.

You will complete 2–4 store deliveries per shift, load/unload with a PPT, and ensure safe driving and accurate paperwork. We value strong customer service, professional timeliness, and a good understanding of driver hours.

Qualifications

• UK Class 1 (C+E) licence is essential.
• Valid Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card required.
• Good understanding of driver hours and Working Time Directive (WTD).
• Strong work ethic and punctuality are important.

Responsibilities

• Complete 2–4 store deliveries per shift.
• Load and unload at customer locations using an electric pump truck (PPT).
• Carry out some handball when moving pallets.
• Maintain safe driving practices and complete all paperwork accurately.
• Deliver excellent customer service at each site.
