Culina Group is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for its chilled distribution operations in Newton Abbot. You will drive refrigerated articulated vehicles across the UK, delivering to local and regional centres, farms and packhouses, with shifts Friday to Tuesday mornings.

Guaranteed annual salary of £40,580 as part of the day shift role, with an average hourly rate of £15.61 and enhanced overtime rates.

• Experience driving HGV Class 1 vehicles.
• Ability to handle chilled distribution requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out chilled distribution deliveries to local and regional distribution centres, farms and packhouses.
• Load and unload where required and confirm PODs.
• Report delays or issues to the Transport team at shift start and during the day.
• Complete paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are returned.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene standards and manage tachograph rules.

We’re looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our chilled distribution operation based in Newton Abbott. In your role as a HGV Driver, you will be operating refrigerated articulated vehicles, delivering and collecting chilled stock from Local and Regional Distribution Centres as well as Farms and Packhouses across the UK.

Shifts: Friday to Tuesday Days (Start time between 05:00 and 07:00)

• Days – Guaranteed annual salary of£40,580
• Average hourly rate £15.61
• Overtime paid at an enhanced rates

What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out chilled distribution deliveries to local and regional distribution centres, as well as Farms and Packhouses
• No requirement to self tip, Stores responsibility to load and unload
• Collecting equipment or returns from customer locations and bringing them back to site.
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
