Job summary

XPO is hiring Class 1 drivers for a Monday–Friday schedule in the Padeswood area. The role offers a starting hourly rate of £15.89, with a joining bonus of £500 after a successful 12-week probation.

You will operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, make curtain-sided deliveries for XPO, and use Epod to track deliveries. Start times are between 04:00 and 06:00, with some nights out optional.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving experience or training.
• CPC and DigiCard current on license.
• Willingness to start early and work Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles in a safe, courteous manner.
• Deliver curtain-sided trailers for XPO.
• Start times from 04:00; some manual handling may be required.
• Loads are loaded/unloaded by site or customer; all deliveries tracked via Epod.

We are offering salary of £15.89 per hour. Working Hours

• Fixed start time between 0400 – 0600
• Monday – Friday
• 2 nights out a week - Possibility of 2 nights out not guaranteed

• You will be safely driving our HGV Class 1 Vehicles in a courteous manner
• Undertake curtain sided trailer deliveries on behalf of the XPO
• Start times from 0400
• Some manual work may be required
• All loads will be loaded/unloaded by the operating site/customers.
• All deliveries will be tracked and signed for using Epod technology

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• An up to date CPC and DIGI card
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• No DD, DR or IN endorsements showing on your licence
