Job summary

XPO is seeking Class 1 drivers to join the Clitheroe team on a Monday to Friday schedule. You’ll work with a modern fleet, starting around early morning hours, and benefit from a joining bonus after probation.

The role includes curtain-sided deliveries, Epod tracking, and potential overtime with enhanced rates. Applicants must hold an LGV C+E licence with CPC/DIGI, no more than six points, and at least 12 months of HGV experience.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV C+E Licence and up-to-date CPC/DIGI card.
• No more than 6 points on licence and no DD/DR/IN endorsements.
• Minimum 12 months HGV driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally.
• Deliver curtain-sided trailers for XPO.
• Start times between 04:00–06:00, Mon-Fri; occasional nights out.
• Some manual handling and loading/unloading at site or customer premises.
• Deliveries tracked and signed for using Epod.

We are offering a hours rate of £15.89 per hour based on a 45-hour working week. Over time is paid at an enhanced rate. You will also be eligible to extensive corporate benefits, from bargain holidays and high street discounts, to 24/7 GP access with our comprehensive benefits packages. You will get a joining bonus of £500 on the completion of a successful 12-week probation period.

Working Hours

• Fixed start time between 0400 – 0600
• Monday – Friday
• Up to two nights out a week - nights out are paid and snap cards provided for parking.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• You will be safely driving our HGV Class 1 Vehicles in a courteous manner
• You’ll be part of a professional driving
• Undertake curtain sided trailer deliveries on behalf of the XPO
• Start times from 0400 -0600
• Some manual work may be required
• Loads will be loaded/unloaded by the operating site/customers.
• Deliveries will be tracked and signed for using Epod technology

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• Valid LGV C+E Licence

• No more than 6 points on your licence
