Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking HGV Class 1 drivers for Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan. The role offers day or night shifts with immediate starts and a 6 weekly rota, with regular ongoing work and weekly wages.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence: HGV Class 1
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• Minimum 2 years held on licence
• Good knowledge of drivers hours and Working Time rules
• Reliable and professional approach

Responsibilities

• Days Store Deliveries / Nights Trunking
• Approx. 1-3 drops per shift (10-12 hours)
• Start times between 04:00-06:00 or 16:00-18:00
• Manual handling required on days; no handball on nights
• Temporary / Temp-to-perm work
• Minimum 8 hours paid per shift

Days

• Monday to Friday - £22.41
• Saturday - £23.76
• Sunday - £25.05
• Bank Holiday - £35.41

Nights

• Monday to Friday - £23.53
• Saturday - £24.88
• Sunday - £26.17
• Bank Holiday - £35.41

Overtime after 45 hours - £39.02 per hour

The role
