Job description

As a Class 1 HGV Driver at Thames Water, you will serve as an ambassador on the road, upholding our values and providing first-class customer service — truly being the face of Thames Water.

You will be part of the Logistic Delivery team, operating a fleet of Potable Water Tankers to support reactive and planned work. Your role involves delivering water to our customers and learning how to take water samples before loading and discharging into hydrants or reservoirs.

• Salary: £40,789 per annum
• Work hours: 38.5 hours per week, Monday - Sunday, on a rotating 2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights pattern
• Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off
• Location: Dorney Depot, between Maidenhead and Slough
• Benefits: Full training and a comprehensive benefits package

What should you bring to the role?

• Experience as a Class 1 HGV Driver
• Willingness to work on a rotational shift pattern including days and nights
• No more than 6 penalty points; no DR or IN convictions
• Full driver CPC and valid Driver Tachograph card
• Knowledge of Transport Law and the Road Traffic Act
• Understanding of Drivers Hours rules and Working Time regulations
