Job summary

CTRG are recruiting for a Class 1 Driver (MBROCH) based in Heywood, England. You will deliver stock to restaurants across the UK for a major food distribution operator, working hands-on with restaurant staff and ensuring accurate handovers.

The role requires a valid UK Class 1 (C+E) license with 12 months driving experience, DCPC card, and digital tachograph; you will follow hours/WTD rules and perform vehicle checks as part of a safety‑driven team.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C+E (Class 1) or C (Class 2) license with minimum 12 months driving experience.
• DCPC qualification card and digital tachograph knowledge and compliance.
• Ability to follow Driver hours and WTD legislation.
• Capable of carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver stock to restaurants across the UK on behalf of a national chain.
• Unload stock and hand over orders accurately and securely.
• Handle reverse logistics and update delivery information both manually and digitally.
• Work hands-on with restaurant staff and maintain safety standards.

HGV Class 1 Driver (MBROCH) Heywood, England

CTRG are looking for a Class 1 Customer Service Driver based inHeywood

Location: Heywood

Pay Rate:£21.50 to £23.44 plus and additional £61.15 for each weekend day worked including bank holidays.

Job Type:Ongoing work

A major food distribution operation in Heywood has opportunities available for experienced Class 1 drivers. You’ll deliver stock to restaurants throughout the UK on behalf of a nationally recognised restaurant chain.

The work is hands‑on and involves more than travelling between sites. At each location, you’ll work directly with restaurant staff, unload the required stock and ensure every order is handed over accurately and securely. Consignments include a combination of ambient, temperature controlled and frozen stock.

Additional responsibilities include reverse logistics, updating delivery information both manually and digitally

Pay Rates (per hour):

Class 1 rates

• Weekends and bank holidays attract an additional £61.15 per day worked

About You:

• Valid UK C+E (Class 1) or C (Class 2) License with a Minimum 12 months driving experience required
• DCPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph
• Understand and be able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation
• Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly
• Excellent communication skills with a flexible, can‑do attitude
