Job summary

Culina is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for our chilled distribution operation based in Evesham. This permanent, full-time role offers a structured 4 on/4 off days pattern with shifts typically around 11 hours in length, delivering to major UK retailers and RDCs across the country.

You will work within a busy transport team, ensuring safe, reliable service and adherence to tachograph rules, company procedures and high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Possession of LGV Class 1 Licence and CPC current
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and drivers’ hours
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
• Prioritise workload to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Carry out chilled distribution deliveries to main UK retail RDCs
• Deliver to key customer sites including major retailers
• Complete self-tip deliveries and pallet breakdowns where required
• Collect equipment or returns and bring back to site
• Report delays or issues to Transport team at shift start
• Complete paperwork and sign PODs
• Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards

Permanent Full Time Role

We’re looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our chilled distribution operation based in Evesham. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers who want a structured 4 on 4 off shift pattern, regular work and the chance to be part of a busy, established transport operation delivering to major retail distribution centres across the UK.

This is a permanent role offering full-time stability for HGV Class 1 drivers who will be responsible for RDC deliveries. You’ll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

Average shifts are around 11 hours, depending on route and operational requirements, and additional shifts may be available for drivers who want to increase their earnings.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out chilled distribution deliveries to main retail RDCs nationwide
• Delivering to key customer sites including major UK retailers
• Completing self-tip deliveries where required, including breaking down pallets at certain sites.
• Collecting equipment or returns from customer locations and bringing them back to site.
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.

Qualifications

• Possessionof LGV Class 1 Licence
• Current CPC
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadline
