Job summary

XPO Logistics in Clitheroe is looking for Class 1 drivers to join our team on a Monday to Friday schedule with a fixed start between 04:00 and 06:00. You will drive modern HGV Class 1 vehicles and undertake curtain-sided deliveries for customers.

Some manual handling may be required, and all loads are managed on-site. The role uses Epod for tracking and signing, and requires a valid LGV C+E licence, a CPC and DIGI card, no more than six points, no DD/DR/IN endorsements, and at least 12 months

Qualifications

• Valid LGV C+E Licence.
• Up-to-date CPC and DIGI card.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• No DD, DR or IN endorsements on your licence.
• 12 months experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and courteously.
• Undertake curtain-sided trailer deliveries for XPO.
• Start times from 04:00.
• Some manual work may be required.
• Loads unloaded by site/customers and tracked with Epod.

Working Hours

• Fixed start time between 0400 – 0600
• Monday – Friday
• 2 nights out a week – Possibility of 2 nights out not guaranteed

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• You will be safely driving our HGV Class 1 Vehicles in a courteous manner
• Undertake curtain sided trailer deliveries on behalf of the XPO
• Start times from 0400
• Some manual work may be required
• All loads will be loaded/unloaded by the operating site/customers.
• All deliveries will be tracked and signed for using Epod technology

What You Need To Succeed At XPO
