Job summary

Menzies Distribution Solutions is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Carrington. You will be responsible for the delivery and collection of goods, ensuring high service standards and safe operation of articulated vehicles.

The role requires a full UK C+E licence, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph card, and knowledge of EU Drivers’ Hours Rules. Night shifts are required, with 47.5 hours per week and a 40,492 GBP annual salary plus overtime.

Qualifications

• Full UK Category C+E (Class 1) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of EU Drivers’ Hours Rules and Working Time Directive.
• Clean or acceptable driving record.
• Strong driving skills with the ability to handle articulated vehicles safely.
• Excellent knowledge of road safety legislation and transport regulations.
• Ability to carry out vehicle checks and report defects accurately.
• Night out requirement due to business needs.

Responsibilities

• General driving duties delivering and collection to/from customer premises or other locations.
• Delivering product on behalf of Menzies Distribution and its customers.
• Use of electronic P.O.D and up to date technology (full training will be given).

HGV Class 1 Driver

Menzies Distribution Solutions are looking for a number of HGV drivers that hold a C+E licence to join us, providing a first class service with our team in Carrington. You’ll be undertaking the delivery & collection of product on behalf of Menzies Distribution Solutions Limited and its customers.

The Details:

• Salary:£40,492.45 Per Annum (Overtime – 1.5x after 47.5)
• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Days
• Start Times: Flexiblity required
• Hours:47.5 Hours Per Week
• Monthly Pay
• Parking Onsite

HGV Class 1 Driver duties:

• General driving duties, observing current legal and best practice delivering and collection to/from our customer’s premises or other locations
• Delivering product on behalf of Menzies Distribution and our customer
• Use of electronic P.O.D and up to date technology (full training will be given to ensure best practice)
• Assisting with loading and unloading

Our ideal candidate:
