Overview

Join to apply for the HGV Class 1 Driver role at TieTalent.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team to work for a client based in Bradford (BD12).

This will be an ad-hoc role, however, with the possibility to be ongoing temp-perm. The rate of pay for this role is between £16.50-£18.49 per hr (Monday to Friday). Start times will be around 5-6am.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are properly secured for transport.
• Deliver goods to designated locations on time while maintaining accurate delivery records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle at all times.
• Adhere to company safety protocols and report any incidents or accidents immediately.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must have at least 3-6 months consistent experience in a Class 1 vehicle and be over 25 years old for insurance purposes.
• Valid CPC and Digi card
• Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role within commercial driving.
• Valid driver’s licence with appropriate endorsements for commercial driving.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
