Job summary

Grafters Recruit Ltd is seeking HGV Class 1 drivers to work from Crewe on an ongoing basis with immediate starts. You will drive a double decker HGV, complete trunk runs, and ensure paperwork and logs are accurate. Vehicle checks must be carried out and any defects reported.

Digi and CPC cards, plus a CE licence with 2+ years experience, are required. Shifts run 4am–8am with an additional 6th shift paid at a higher rate; free on-site parking is available and a minimum of 8 hours per shift is

Qualifications

• CE licence with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence held.
• DIGI and CPC cards required.
• No more than 6 points on licence.

Responsibilities

HGV Class 1 Day Drivers

Grafters Recruit are currently looking for HGV / Class 1 / CE Drivers to work out of our client's premises in Crewe on an on-going basis with immediate starts available.

For this HGV / Class 1 / LGV1 / C+E Driver role, you will be responsible for:

• Driving a double decker heavy goods vehicle.
• Completing trunk runs only, depot to depot.
• Ensuring all paperwork and logs are completed accurately.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects.

For this HGV / Class 1 / LGV1 / C+E Driver role, you will need:

• CE licence with a minimum of 2 year's experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• No more than 6 points.
• DIGI and CPC Card.

Hourly rate of £19.06 per hour with a 6th shift paid at £28.59 per hour.

• Monday – Friday with 6th shift available if driver wants one.
• 4am – 8am starts (driver can pick)
• Positive and friendly environment including free on-site parking.
• Minimum 8hrs guaranteed per shift, even if you do less.
• No handball
• Pre booked shifts available.
