Job summary

Wren Kitchens in Manchester seeks a skilled HGV driver for the night shift delivery team. You will work in a two-person delivery crew, ensuring high standards of delivery service, vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a valid C+E licence, Driver CPC qualification, and solid knowledge of UK deliveries. The company offers CPC training, full uniform and PPE, health benefits, and a generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• More than 1-year experience in HGV driving.
• Valid C+E license with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Up to date Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with transport office about daily activities.
• Adhere to policies and safety procedures for delivery service.
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed and faults reported.
• Provide a pleasant and concise delivery experience at each delivery visit.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment safely at all times.
• Ensure Van Delivery Porters call customers with ETA and keep delivery records.
• Handle products carefully to deliver damage-free.

This role will be working night shifts

Critical purpose of role:

• To work as part of a two-person delivery team to ensure all deliveries are of high standard
• To ensure fleet compliance and health and safety standards are adhered to and continuously improved
• To adhere to EU Drivers Hours and Working Time Regulations

Main responsibilities:

• Constantly communicate with the transport office regarding daily activities.
• Adhere to stated policies and procedures regarding delivery service and safety at the workplace.
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed and faults reported to your transport office team.
• Always offer a pleasant and concise delivery experience at each delivery visit.
• Take full responsibility of operating company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner.
• Ensure that Van Delivery Porters proactively makes customer phone calls with ETA’s, & keeps records of deliveries.
• Take extra care with products to ensure goods are delivered damage free.

About You

Relevant qualifications & experience:

• More than 1-year experience in HGV driving
• Hold a valid C+E license with no more than 6 penalty points
• Holds an up to date Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Experience in the ‘Home Delivery’ serviceGood geographical knowledge of the UK
