Job summary

Driver Hire Southend is recruiting an experienced HGV Driver Labourer for a busy scaffolding company in Basildon. The role combines driving with on-site labouring to support scaffolding teams.

You will drive HGV Class 1 or 2 vehicles to construction sites, load and unload, and assist with general duties while complying with site health and safety procedures. Valid licences and cards required.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph
• Labourer's card is essential
• CSCS card is required
• Previous experience in scaffolding, construction or a similar environment is advantageous
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Willing to carry out both HGV driving and labouring duties

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles to and from construction sites
• Deliver and collect scaffolding equipment and materials
• Load and unload the vehicle safely
• Assist scaffolders with general labouring duties
• Handle and move scaffolding materials on site
• Carry out vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
• Follow all site health and safety procedures
• Support the team with other general duties as required
